Señorio de Cuzcurrita is a red wine produced in the Rioja D.O. by Castillo de Cuzcurrita Winery.
Castillo de Cuzcurrita Winery is located in the northeast of La Rioja in the highest area of Rioja Alta. It has a modern and current style where barrel aging adds complexity without masking the characteristics of the harvest, which come from the terroir where it is grown.
Señorio de Cuzcurrita is made 100% from Tempranillo grapes from old vineyards, with part of the cultivation being integrated production and another part being organic.
After manual harvest, passing through the selection table, and alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels with fine grain, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging with its lees for 12 months. It then rests in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months before being marketed.
Señorio de Cuzcurrita is ideal for accompanying roasted red meats, big game, roasted lamb, legumes, small game, grilled red meats, and roasted pork.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
