The Louis Latour Chablis is a single-varietal white wine made exclusively with Chardonnay grapes by the renowned French winery Louis Latour in the Chablis region, located in Burgundy.
Color: It has a light golden hue with green reflections.
Aroma: Intense aromas of green apple and citrus stand out, complemented by a mineral touch reminiscent of steel.
Taste: On the palate, it is round and balanced, with medium body and a crispy finish. The notes of ripe fruit and creamy profile make it a classic Chablis, perfect for those seeking a fresh and elegant wine.
Production: The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of 30 years, planted in limestone soils from the Jurassic period. The harvest is mechanical, with an average production of 45 hectoliters per hectare. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation to provide creaminess and reduce acidity. The wine ages on lees for 8 to 10 months in the same tanks.
Pairing and service: It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 10°C, accompanying appetizers, seafood, and rice dishes.
Louis Latour Winery: With over two centuries of history and eleven generations at the helm, Louis Latour owns approximately 50 hectares of vineyards in Burgundy. In addition to producing its own wines, it acts as a negociant, buying and vinifying grapes from third parties. The winery has its own cooperage, producing around 3,000 barrels annually.
