Milsetentayseis is a red wine elaborated by Milsetentayseis in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.

High altitude vineyard and varietal richness

The small plots of Milseten tayseis are located in one of the most unique areas of Ribera del Duero: Fuentenebro. Its mining past reveals reddish clay soils with feldspar, quartz and mica that give a unique character to these vineyards. The extreme climate and the altitude, above 1,000 meters, are determining characteristics. An ancestral vineyard that has transcended the years and that uncovers a past of extraordinary varietal richness that we seek to preserve and make visible. The project for the identification and recovery of varieties has managed to identify up to twenty-six different categories in just six plots. Old vines coexist with new plantations with the future in mind.

A meticulous winemaking process

The grapes were harvested by hand after an exhaustive selection of bunches in each plot. Subsequently, in the winery, a double selection is made: cluster and berry. In the winemaking process, special importance is given to the raw material and its origin, so that each plot is vinified separately. The aim is to enhance the maximum expression of each vineyard and soil. To this end, the winery has different formats for vinification: from microvinifiers of six hundred liters, to small wooden vats, concrete and stainless steel tanks, icosahedrons (diamond) and even clay vats. Milsetentayseis Tinto was aged for eighteen months in French oak and concrete barrels and foudres, and twelve months in the bottle before release. The wine, for added protection, contains sulfites.

Milsetentayseis Tang Notes

Bigarreau cherry red colour with violet hints.

On the nose aromas of red fruit and hints of vanilla, toast and spices.

The palate is broad, powerful with excellent acidity and a slight astringency that highlights the ripe red fruit with a long, lingering finish. A very marked character in which freshness, elegance and subtlety are its dominant notes.
