Triga 2021 is a red wine from the D.O. Alicante, created by Bodegas Volver, known for its careful production process. In this new project, Rafael Cañizares and Jorge Ordoñez select only the grapes from historic vineyards, some of which were planted in 1925. The winery is located in Pinoso, Alicante, where the vineyards are situated in strategic altitudes and soils, near the world's largest marble quarry, contributing to its uniqueness. This wine is made from varieties such as Monastrell and Cabernet Sauvignon, from different plots that are harvested and treated separately, ensuring maximum quality in production. Triga undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels, and its 20 months of aging in French barrels adds complexity and elegance. It presents an intense purple color and an aromatic explosion ranging from black fruits to hints of licorice and exotic spices. On the palate, there's a combination of blueberries and currants with a spicy and persistent finish. Ideal to pair with meat dishes or to enjoy on special occasions.
