Propolis syrup comes from the mixture in perfect vital symbiosis of several 100% natural ingredients, among which propolis in tincture form, an extraordinary treasure of nature composed of a resinous amalgam of dark tones obtained by bees from tree buds and natural sap exudates, to later process it and use it in the hives, alone or mixed with natural wax, as a general sealant. Its mission is to reinforce the structural stability of the hive, reduce vibrations and defend it against pathogens or other external aggressors. If an enemy of the hive is introduced inside, the bees sacrifice it and then embalm it with propolis to promote its preservation
Effect is enhanced by elderberry juice, various plant extracts (thyme, sage, greater plantain), rosemary essential oil, concentrated lemon juice, honey, etc.
Propolis syrup is a usually viscous fluid rich in plant extracts and propolis, to which we add concentrated lemon and elderberry juice, as well as 100% pure essential oils to broaden its beneficial spectrum of action
Propolis is composed of approximately: vitamins (B1, B2, C, ..), microelements, flavonoids, protein substances, unsaturated fatty acids and esters of aromatic acids, possessing more than 160 natural components. In general terms, it is composed of: 50-55% resins and balsams, 30-40% waxes, 5-10% essential or volatile oils, 5% pollen and 5% miscellaneous materials (organic and mineral)
It has a resinous and granular consistency with a tendency to caking, variable and irregular dark brownish brown color, with a dry, very concentrated characteristic sweetish aroma and a slightly sour woody flavor
Essential oils are mixtures of various substances biosynthesized by plants, which provide the typical aroma of some flowers, trees, fruits, herbs, spices and seeds; they are used to protect against diseases, ward off pathogens, heal injuries or attract pollinating insects
