It is a wine from Bodegas Estancia Piedra, made with 100% Toro red grapes from the vineyards of our Bocarrage Estate (1967).

Natural Stone red wine is a natural wine, without the use of sulfites, nor any treatment or additives, using exclusively well-ripened handpicked Tinta de Toro grapes.

After spontaneous fermentation, followed by a natural malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, the wine remained on its lees for six months, until bottling with a light filtration. With all its integrity and natural fruit, this wine expresses the best that an old vineyard in the Toro Designation of Origin can offer.

The grape harvest is done manually, in 20kg boxes, in early October. When the grapes arrive at the winery, they are placed on selection tables for strict quality control.

Natural Stone red wine undergoes a 10-day fermentation in a 5,000-liter stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature (maximum 25oC). Frequent pumpovers. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels.

AGING 6 months in French oak barrels.

STABILIZATION By cold winter frosts at -7/-9oC for two weeks inside the barrels themselves.

FILTRATION Very light before bottling.
