Nikolaihof Im Weingebirge Federspiel Grüner Veltliner is a dry white wine of Austrian origin, made with 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes grown in the historic Wachau region on the banks of the Danube.
From one of the oldest wineries in the world, Nikolaihof, a pioneer in Demeter-certified biodynamic viticulture, this wine represents the purest expression of Austrian terroir and the elegance of the Federspiel style.
The "Im Weingebirge" plot, one of the oldest in the Wachau, provides a defined, mineral profile thanks to its loess and gneiss soils. The wine is made using traditional methods, without additives or harsh treatments, resulting in an authentic, lively, and highly gastronomic expression.
Appearance: Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. Clean and very visually appealing.
Nose: Fresh and vibrant aromas of green apple, white pear, citrus (grapefruit, lime), fresh herbs, and a delicate mineral background. Subtle spicy notes characteristic of Grüner Veltliner, such as white pepper and anise, also emerge.
Palate: Dry, very fresh, and balanced, with lively acidity and a precise texture. Medium-bodied, it presents flavors of crisp white fruit, ripe citrus, and a long finish with a very pronounced saline and mineral note. Elegant, clean, and versatile.
