Description:
Umeboshi is a variety of ume plum widely used in Japan that is fermented with salt and shiso leaves. The result of this pickling process is a product rich in citric acid, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, and a good amount of iron. The shiso leaves that usually accompany the ume plums are rich in chlorophyll, vitamin A, B2, and C. It can help stimulate the appetite because it promotes the secretion of gastric juices. It can be very effective in cases of vomiting, headaches, and nausea.
