Pelissero Barbera d'Alba Piani is a red wine made from Barbera in the DOC Piani by the Pelissero family.
Piani in Italian means "flat" and in fact this hill has little slope. These plots have always been well known for the quality of the Barbera. The vinification method aims to exalt its own characteristics such as vinosity, complexity and persistence. Temperature controlled maceration in stainless steel tanks lasts 15 to 20 days. Aging for 9 months in oak barrels and 50-hl. casks.
Pelissero maintains the same philosophy established by the founders in 1957: varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto from their 42 hectares of vineyards. Their spirit of continuous improvement, passion and commitment are evident when enjoying each of their bottles in the best restaurants around the world.
Appearance: Ruby red colour, bright and intense.
Nose: Delicate aromas including blackberry and cherry. Aromatic and very pleasant.
Palate: Salinity and acidity appear on the palate in this wine that does not hide its polyphenolic character. The fullness of the Barbera is very interesting as is its lingering aftertaste.
