The vineyards that produce grapes for port wine cling to the steep slopes of the winding valleys of the Douro River in northern Portugal. The heart of this beautiful region is the vineyards of Quinta do Noval, where it has been produced since 1715. Mixed with wines that have matured in wood for an average of ten years, this one has a complex fruity intense aroma. It is elegant and soft to the palate with an attractive and rich finish. Serve slightly cold, either as an elegant aperitif or as a dessert or cheese accompaniment.
Red shingle with Grana selvedges.
Frank, clean, intense. Notes on blueberries, blackberries and cherries on a specialised background.
Balanced in sweetness-acidity, broad. Nice step in the mouth. We found notes of candied fruit and toast. Sweet end.
