Protos comes from Greek and means First, as the winery was inaugurated in 1927, being the pioneer in the Ribera del Duero. Currently, they control 1400 hectares, a true giant.
Protos Reserva 2015 is a wine with the Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero, made 100% with Tempranillo grapes. The harvest of these grapes is done manually and in 20 kg boxes.
As for aging, Protos Reserva stays a minimum of 18 months in American and French oak barrels, and then rests in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months.
Protos Reserva is ideal to accompany poultry, meats, game dishes, hearty stews, rice dishes, pasta, and cold cuts.
It is recommended to consume this wine at a temperature between 16-17 °C.
