Product Description
Cranberry, Vaccinium macrocarpon, is also known as Cranberry. The interest in this species has grown considerably in recent years due to its interesting nutritional value: fiber, vitamins, minerals, and Proanthocyanidins A. Of all of them, Proanthocyanidins A (PAC-A) are the most important active ingredient. There are numerous species of Cranberry, but the American Red is the richest in Type A proanthocyanidins.
Additional Data
Used in dry extract form
In our American Cranberry capsules, we use dry extracts instead of powdered plant. The extract presentation allows to concentrate the product, which achieves the same result using less quantity. We have chosen a 6:1 American Cranberry extract, which means that 864 mg of plant has been used to obtain 144 mg of our extract. The mention of "dry extract" refers to a specific extraction process, in which the active principles of interest are maintained and impurities and other substances not interesting for this purpose are eliminated. The use of plant extracts has several advantages over the use of powdered plant:
- The content of active principles can be precisely known (Standardized extracts).
- Products based on plant extracts are more concentrated than those made from total plant powder (Concentrated and easy-to-take dose).
- The assimilation of active principles alone is easier than the assimilation of the set of compounds in a plant. Impurities and fibers present in the total powder.
Standardized Extracts
Another of the most important advantages in our formulation is the use of standardized extracts, which means that the plant provides active principles (also called plant strength) constant over time. In the case of Cranberry extract, it is titrated in Type A proanthocyanidins, ensuring that 36 mg are always provided per daily dose.
Concentrated and Easy-to-Take Dose
The use of concentrated and titrated dry extracts allows us to obtain the same dose in a single capsule.
Vegetable Capsules
The capsules used are of vegetable origin, specifically hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. These capsules are certified by the Vegetarian Society. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is obtained from cellulose from various plant structures.
Allergen-Free
American cranberry capsules are made to ensure no contamination with any of the most common allergens, including gluten.
Packaged in Blisters
American cranberry capsules are presented in a packaging called blisters: The blisters protect the product from impacts and environmental effects, ensuring its composition over time. The use of these materials, compared to other presentations, protects it from moisture and microbial contamination.
Allergens
Does not contain allergens.
