The Oriental Rioja, the driest, warmest, windiest, and most Mediterranean part of Rioja, is the origin of Bodegas Palacios Remondo.
The rugged and high surroundings of Monte Yerga, where the first Cistercian monks arrived, is where the winery recovers the traditional viticulture of Garnacha as the protagonist and symbol of its own wine history.
Its vineyards, cultivated with ecological and natural practices, are located on the heights of Yerga in the Iberian system, a wild environment from which the Ebro Valley is dominated.
Geography, microclimates, and soils rich in calcium. History, culture, garnacha. All of this converges and explains the deep viticultural identity of Alfaro (La Rioja).
