Elaboration and aging
Roda Reserva is made with grapes from vineyards over 30 years old. Production of 1.5 kg/vine. Excellent expression of an Atlantic vintage that once again shows that in difficult climatic years, Roda remains at the top.
Roda Reserva is a blend of the Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano varieties. The grapes come from old vineyards over 30 years old. For its production, alcoholic fermentation was carried out in French oak vats.
Subsequently, the wine was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, half new and half with previous wine. Finally, Roda Reserva was refined with a bottle aging of 20 months.
Tasting Notes of Roda Reserva
- Appearance: Roda Reserva is a medium-bodied red wine, with a cherry red color and a red rim.
- Nose: Very well-integrated wood, almost imperceptible. Very intense and fruity with sensations of red fruit in the cherry range, in the part of the pulp that sticks to the pit. Fresh and finely spiced. Sensation of fresh weather and rain on the earth.
- Palate: Medium volume, with very fine and caressing tannins. Very fruity and fresh, with clear notes of cherry. Long, persistent, very elegant, and delicate. Retro-nasal passage that recalls the olfactory sensations. Magnificent sensation of freshness.
