Rodriguez & Sanzo Barrica de Whisky is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes from the Castilla y León region. It is the first wine made from Tempranillo grapes aged in whiskey barrels. As the barrel is flavored by the whiskey, this subtle nuance gives the wine complexity.
The vineyard is located in San Román de Hornija, at an average altitude of 720m. The soils stand out for being sandy with a lot of large stones. Deep clay subsoils.
Rodriguez & Sanzo Vignerons is a very aromatic wine, with hints of ripe black fruit, spices, chocolate, toasted nuances (smoke). Structured in the mouth but very oily and sweet tannins, with lots of volume and a pleasant finish.
