Ron BÜCCAM SUMMUM Special ReservePremium Dominican agricultural rum from the province of San Pedro de Macorís, whose sugarcane is cultivated and harvested around the distillery located in the province itself.
The first phase of aging is done at the origin, in the Dominican Republic, using barrels of different types of oak, with different toasting and origins. Approximately 50% are American oak barrels that originally aged bourbon whiskey and the other 50% are French oak barrels that were used in aging brandy and sherry wines. It is clean and bright, with an amber color and coppery notes.
On the nose, it is expressive, fragrant, dense, balsamic, and enveloping. Notes of fresh and sweet orange intermingle with candied orange, dried apricots, hints of Sichuan pepper, nuts, and sugarcane, with hints of cedar wood and tobacco leaf, with a deep and delicate touch of vanilla, cinnamon, warm caramel, and honey.
The oak flavor as a whole is broad, deep, and serene, transporting us to a blend between a noble rum with long aging and fresher ones.
On the palate, it is voluptuous, with presence, very good intensity, and attractive bitterness, it travels through the mouth firmly, agilely, and fresh, finally giving us elegant exotic spices in the aftertaste.
