Elaboration
Ron Captain Morgan Black is a blend of pot and barrel tones from Jamaica, Guyana, and Barbados, which is also aged in oak for over a year and has a dark and robust color, as well as a distinctive and unmistakable flavor. Within Captain Morgan Company, American white oak barrels are used, charred, and filled with triple distillation. They are then left to rest and mature for a year.
The charred barrels play an important role in shaping the flavor of these rums, as they help release the vanilla, tannins, and caramelized sugars.
