The Ron Matusalem 23 years is a rum made through a unique blend of artisanal rums aged in selected oak barrels and is considered the cognac of rums. It is produced by Matusalem & Co, in the Dominican Republic.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance:
It is between copper and orange in color.
Nose:
Its complexity begins to appear with very diverse notes: notes of honey and vanilla, hazelnuts and other nuts. In the background, the more toasted and sweet notes emerge: sugar caramel, toffee, which give way to more fruity notes: Coconut with a hint of acidic peach or mango combined with hints of wood and cocoa butter or white chocolate.
Palate:
The notes open up to the senses smoothly and creamily. Notes of burnt sugar cream appear, and behind them, darker sensations emerge: licorice, juanola candies, balsamic and hints of wood along with tobacco notes. It is a rum that evolves in the glass and shows various very balanced nuances. The finish is medium-long and allows you to enjoy the glass without haste.
