Rueda Loess Verdejo wine.

Elaboration and aging

Loess Verdejo has been made with Verdejo grapes (100%) from a 4 ha vineyard planted on a terrace over the Duero River in 1998, without irrigation and with a special soil composed of sand, pebbles, and clay-limestone. The grapes macerate in stainless steel tanks at a temperature below 8ºC. Once pressed, the fermentation also takes place in steel tanks.

Once finished, the wine remains a period of time on its lees with periodic battonages to round out its flavors.

Tasting Note of Loess Verdejo

• Appearance: Loess Verdejo has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and a steel gray rim, very clean and very bright.
• Nose: It has a high intensity, clean, and fragrant nose. It is a very aromatic white wine with expressive white fruit and elegant touches of tropical fruit, with citrus notes in the foreground and a pleasant background of white flowers. It has a varietal character.
• Pallet: Very pleasant entry. Light, intense, and unctuous palate. Great fruity character. Very good acidity that invites further sips. Long and persistent finish that leaves citrus notes in the aftertaste.

Pairing

Loess Verdejo is ideal to accompany grilled seafood, smoked dishes, lightly seasoned salads, baked white fish, sushi, fish rice dishes, and mild appetizers.

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 10ºC.
