Sotya's Sacred Bark is a stimulant laxative, increasing colon peristalsis by irritating the mucosa and acting on the nervous system. Sacred bark reduces the absorption of liquid and electrolytes, preventing the stools from dehydrating excessively and resulting in constipation.
Instructions:
It is recommended to take 1 or 2 tablets a day, preferably before bedtime.
Warnings:
It should not be administered to children under 10 years of age, and to children over 10 years old, only under medical prescription. Due to lack of studies, it is preferable to avoid its use in the first trimester of pregnancy or to use it only under medical supervision. It is also recommended to avoid its use during breastfeeding. In case of chronic use or abuse, it can lead to hypokalemia, causing an electrolyte imbalance that can be exacerbated by the use of diuretics. Side effects include spasms and abdominal pain, especially in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. In case of irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, appendicitis, spastic or paralytic ileus, intestinal obstruction, ulcerative colitis, or abdominal pain of unknown origin, consult a healthcare professional.
