The zamburiñais a bivalve mollusc typical of Galician gastronomy. Belonging to the Pectinidae family, like the vieira or volandeira, the zamburiña lives attached to the rock or buried in the sandy bottoms where it feeds by filtering the plankton in suspension in the seawater.
