Sommos Chardonnay is a white wine made from Chardonnay grapes by Bodegas Sommos of the Somontano Protected Designation of Origin.
Vineyard planted on trellis, single cordon. Drip irrigation. The canopy is 1.5 m. high and with plant cover to offer greater water competition to the plant and thus obtain small clusters with loose, highly concentrated berries. The orientation is NE-SW, thus avoiding exposure to the sun at its most intense hours.
Aged for 12 months in a selection of medium toasted French oak barrels.
Colour: Golden yellow with light greenish tints.
Nose: Yellow tropical fruits with soft toasted notes of hazelnut and vanilla.
Palate: Smooth, balanced, with long and persistent acidity. Complex and elegant.
