The Terra Remota Camino is a red wine with aging from the Empordà Designation of Origin, produced by the Terra Remota winery in Catalonia, Spain.
Composition and Elaboration:
This wine is made from a careful selection of organically grown grapes on granitic soils. The harvest is done manually in 10 kg boxes, ensuring the integrity of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and in 55-hectoliter oak barrels. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in 500-liter French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
- Sight: It has an intense garnet color with bright reflections.
- Nose: Complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by floral notes, vanilla, and light toasted hints.
- Palate: Soft and elegant entry, with a velvety texture. Flavors of candied fruits, licorice, and a balance between freshness and well-integrated tannins stand out.
Pairing and Service:
Ideal for accompanying red meats, rice dishes, roasts, white meats, and spicy dishes. It is recommended to serve between 16°C and 18°C. It is advisable to aerate the wine for about 30 minutes before consumption to fully appreciate its qualities.
