The Sobao Pasiego is made from a mixture of butter, flour, sugar and egg, and is presented in a paper capsule traditionally known as a 'gorro', in which the folds form its characteristic wings. Its flavor is sweet and the aroma of butter stands out especially. This product, typical of the region of Cantabria, is recognized for its toasted surface, its intense yellow crumb, and its soft and fluffy texture. Our sobaos, protected by the PGI "Sobao Pasiego", are made daily following the family recipe in Selaya, in the well-known Pasiegos Valleys of Cantabria.
