The process they use to get this Japanese whiskey is practically the same as the one that follows a Scotch single malt. It uses a malt base that ferments for a period somewhat higher than Scotch , which gives it a very distinctive floral and creamy touch, and then is distilled and matured in casks of sherry, American white Oak and Japanese oak for 12 years to Bring a unique and fruity flavor.
The Yamazaki 12 Years presents a dark golden color with shimmering reflections.
It offers aromatic notes of cedar, golden honey, cloves and candied orange peel. Medium-bodied. It seduces with its blend of flavors: honey, vanilla, apple and Jasmine. Thanks to the aromas of candied orange peel, cinnamon and clove of spices, a cigarette ash and the dryness of cedar wood join freshness with a warm complexity.
