Tunella Ramato is a wine made with the Pinot grigio variety by the Tunella house in the Italian area of Friuri.
WINEMAKING Harvest at the appropriate level of ripeness, the grapes are gently pressed. The obtained must is statically cold settled and added with a previously prepared indigenous fermentation yeast (3-4 days earlier) with the best selected grapes of the same grape variety. Then it is left to ferment slowly and refine on the surfaces at a controlled temperature with frequent batonnages in large quantities (30 liters) of Slavonian oak barrels. Only after an appropriate period of rest and aging in the bottle, the wine is ready to be presented to the consumer.
TASTING NOTES Intense straw yellow color with golden reflections followed by a delicate coppery tone. Intense, ample, and fruity on the nose, its aromas recall the sweetness of pears and ripe apricots, on a background of almond blossom flowers that carry delicate floral notes perfectly integrated with balsamic aromas from the oak barrels where it has aged. Coating in the mouth and dense palate, well-structured, mineral, and harmonious, with good persistence and balance.
PAIRING SUGGESTION Excellent for pairing with mushroom dishes, fish, and white meats. Great with cured meats and soft cheeses.
