Valduero Crianza, aged for 15 months in oak barrels, they like to indicate that it is more than just a crianza. To us, it seems like a harmonious, spicy, and very well-structured wine.
This family winery was established in Gumiel de Mercado, Burgos, in 1984 and is one of the oldest in the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.
Valduero Crianza is made from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. The grapes are hand-harvested in 14 kg boxes and ferment for 9 days at temperatures between 23 and 28ºC, followed by a 10-day maceration period. During this time, daily remontage is performed when the fermentation reaches its peak temperature.
The final step is to let the wine rest in oak barrels from two different origins for about 15 months, and at least 12 more months in the bottle.
Valduero Crianza is ideal to accompany beef, scrambled eggs, Iberian cured meats, and semi-cured cheeses.
It is recommended to consume at a temperature between 17-19ºC.
