VINEYARDThe "Miguel Rey" plot comprises 3 hectares located in Valtuille de Arriba, at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level. With yields of between 4,000 and 5,000 kg, the vines are trained on trellises on loose, acidic soils with a sandy-clay loam texture and alluvial formation. The site benefits from the Bierzo microclimate, a transition between the Mediterranean and Atlantic domains, which is milder and milder in this region surrounded by mountains.HARVESTThe winter and spring were cool and wet, with generous rainfall. Budding took place smoothly at the end of March. During flowering, rains in early June caused blossom run-off, which reduced berry set.The mild, rainy summer maintained good water availability in the vineyards during the end of ripening until the harvest, which took place in mid-September. The harvest had an Atlantic imprint, contained alcohol content, superb aromatic extraction and soft tannins.Aging and bottling: After 12 months in new and used 500-liter French oak barrels, the wine was bottled in December 2022.Producción: 11,866 bottles and 260 magnums.
