VERMOUTH Noilly Prat Rouge is composed of two varieties of white grape, Picpoul and clairette, cultivated in the department of Hérault, in the south-east of the country of France.
Years of experience have inspired this pioneering technique by realising that when transporting wine in barrels exposed to the sun and saltpeter for an extended period of time, it acquired a special flavor resulting from an alteration of optimal conservation conditions.
To recreate this alteration in a controlled way after a first period in the cellar, the wine was transferred to a second barrels that were exposed to the sun for a period of approximately one year.
VERMOUTH Noilly Prat Rouge is a dark amber colour with hints of saffron, clove and cocoa seeds.
