Viña Pedrosa Crianza is a red wine made from 100% Tempranillo in the D.O. Ribera del Duero by Bodegas Hermanos Pérez Pascuas.
The creation of Viña Pedrosa arose from the enthusiasm of Mauro Pérez , who managed to transmit his love for the vineyards to his sons, the Pérez Pascuas Brothers, who established their own winery in 1980. The winery's most emblematic wine is "Su Crianza", made with red fino (Tempranillo) grapes from vineyards with an average age of 35 years old and located at an altitude of over 800 metres. This wine spends 18 months in American and French oak barrels as part of its ageing process.
The vineyards are located in Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos, at an altitude of 840 metres above sea level, with an average age of 35 years. The soil has a gentle topography and clay-limestone characteristics. The climate is continental, with Atlantic influence, and the average annual temperature is 11 ºC, with rainfall around 475 millimetres per year.
Visually, it has an intense cherry colour with violet hues. In its complex nose, aromas of tobacco and truffle intertwine with primary notes of ripe wild fruits. The palate is broad and intense, but at the same time, softened by the perfect integration of the tannins, and refreshed by a magnificent acidity. The finish is round and persistent, with elegant bitter touches that profile a wine of classic style.
