Its origin is in the registration of the brand SOL in 1907, it was registered the same day that Coronas was registered. However, Viña Sol as we understand it today was born in 1962 when Miguel Torres produced a small amount of Parellada in the mountains of the upper Penedès

Description
The bunches of Parellada, a traditional white grape variety, give Viña Sol its fruity and fresh aroma.


Provenance
In 1962, after finishing his oenology studies, Miguel A. Torres wanted to bring new knowledge to the family. Thus in a small winery in the Penedès mountains, he fermented Parellada grapes for the first time at a low temperature to achieve a fresher and more aromatic wine: the first "Viña Sol" had just been born.


Gastronomy

Excellent aperitif and as an accompaniment to cod brandades, salads, cheese spreads, trout, seafood and fish in general.

Serve at 10ºC.


Tasting notes
Exquisite fruity notes are appreciated, exalted by fine spicy nuances. Smooth palate, with fine acid structure, full-bodied and balanced. The fruity notes stand out (green apple and ripe pineapple) which are prolonged in a very pleasant background of spices (fennel).
