The White Wine La Caña comes from a project by Jorge Ordoñez and associates. The winery is located in the northernmost part of the Rias Baixas D.O., in the Salnes valley south of this region near the Atlantic Ocean.
The vines are arranged in pergolas, the traditional system of this area, to keep the fruit away from the ground, benefiting the health of the grapes and minimizing the use of fungicides. The grapes for this wine come from 11.5 hectares of vineyards planted in 1966 (5.2 hectares owned by the winery and the rest by local viticulturists) divided into twelve plots located in Sisan Ribadumia in the Salnes valley. The soils are very sandy, derived from decomposed granite, and have a high acidity due to their proximity to the ocean. The average age of the vineyards ranges from 30 to 35 years. 100% Albariño grape.
Recommended serving temperature: 6ºC
