The Vino Blanco Habla de ti from Bodegas Habla presents this white wine from the Denominación de Origen V.T. Extremadura, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
It received the award for the best white wine in Spain by the Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers (AEPEV), in a contest held in January 2015 to determine the best wines in Spain.
The grapes used to make this wine come from young vines in a terrain 450 meters above sea level, the soil is sandy loam and the climate has great variation. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery, where they ferment for 2 months in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 9-10ºC. At the end of the process, the wine rests for 5 months on its lees in the same tanks.
Bodegas Habla (Trujillo, Extremadura) has 200 hectares of difficult land, slate estate, unfertile and demanding, but knows how to take care of the plant. A land that forces to bring out the best of each vine and gives the grape varieties a strong personality to produce unique wines.
In the middle of these two hundred hectares of land that the Greeks already cultivated in ancient times, stands the building that houses the winery, one of the most advanced in Spain: their research work reaches all areas and processes related to viticulture and oenology. The best advisors are sought in each field and the latest available techniques are used.
Some oenological studies carried out by Bodegas Habla have been carried out in collaboration with important Spanish and international institutes, such as the Universities of Zaragoza, Bordeaux and Berkeley, the E.N.S.A. of Montpellier and the E.T.S.I.A. of Madrid.
Vinos de la Tierra de Extremadura is a protected geographical indication used to designate wines made from grapes produced in the wine-growing areas of the autonomous community of Extremadura, one of the first wine-producing regions in Spain.
Extremaduran wines are clean, with frank aromas, balanced on the palate, very varietal, and enjoy a very good reputation worldwide, as evidenced by the numerous national and international awards obtained.
