Available in half a kilo format, whole bean or ground. Specialty coffee always has a roast date within 10 days to ensure maximum freshness. Additionally, if you order this coffee ground, it will always be ground just before shipping to ensure that the coffee does not oxidize and arrives at its destination with all its tasting notes intact. TASTING NOTES Ingoma coffee presents itself in aroma and palate with chocolatey notes. Notes of Almond, Sugarcane, Cocoa, Lemon, and Butter stand out. It is a coffee with medium citrus acidity and a creamy body. Ideal to enjoy on its own or with milk. RWANDAN COFFEE, A GEM OF UNIQUE VARIETIES Ingoma is the result of the work of a family exporter from Rwanda who collaborates with various coffee-producing areas in the country. This group of small coffee farmers benefits from a shared economy to bring their coffees directly to the roasters. Their focus is on coffee quality, environmental and economic sustainability, and transparency in the supply chain. This is achieved through a vertical collaboration from the plantation to the roaster, functioning as a unified team. Their goal is the production of sustainable coffee and small batches of high quality. Furthermore, they seek to offer fair prices to coffee producers that improve their standard of living and that of their families, adding value to the roasters through transparency and teamwork. RED BOURBON VARIETY In the world of coffee, there are different varieties of plants, fruits, and therefore beans (or seeds). Red Bourbon is one of the varieties that offers higher quality in the cup, but it is less commonly used due to the difficulty of achieving a high yield from this plant. Its descendants Caturra, Castillo, or Catuai are more commonly used. The Bourbon variety is native to Yemen, introduced by the French on the Bourbon Island (now Réunion Island), from where it did not leave until the late 19th century. It then reached South America and today is more easily found in micro plantations in Africa. SPECIALTY COFFEE, A SYNONYM FOR QUALITY Only the best coffees can be called specialty coffees. They must score above 80 points on a scale of 0 to 100 by the SCA. Specifically, this Ingoma coffee from Rwanda has 83 points. These coffee beans are carefully cared for throughout the entire process and treated with special care from plant to cup. At Cafés Mocaibo, we ensure that this specialty coffee is meticulously processed in our factory as well. It is roasted, stored, and packaged separately from the rest of the products to maintain its aroma and flavor intact. Specialty coffee always has a roast date within 10 days to ensure maximum freshness.
