At the end of the 19th century, the marriage formed by Antonio Jane Formosa and Josefa Pascual Formosa gave rise to Bodega J. Miquel Jané, which is now led by siblings Bernadette and Josep Miquel, representing the fourth generation of the family.
The original properties were located in Alt Penedès and the family's wine was successful in Cuba thanks to the frigates of another branch of the family.

Culture This is the star of our winery, due to the exclusivity and good adaptation of this variety in our estates, coming from our youngest vineyards of Baltana Vieja, about 12 years old.
Some strains with selected clones very little productive, make that we have a good concentration of sugars and aromas, making this wine has a lot of character. Harvested by machine in the early morning, it arrives fresh first thing in the morning, although dark in the cellar A maceration with the skins for about 3 hours inside the closed press, so we extract all the aromas from the skins. Light pressing, static cold racking and a temperature controlled fermentation, to maintain the aromatic potential of this variety. Aged for four months in French and chestnut oak barrels with periodic battanage. A 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine with a splendid aromatic profile Tasting notes In view: we find a white wine, very glyceric in glass, pale and bright On the nose: stand out to tropical aromas of pineapple and melon, with a citrus undertone and a touch of lychee. Good communion between fruit and wood.Culture This is the star of our winery, due to the exclusivity and good adaptation of this variety in our estates, coming from our youngest vineyards of Baltana Vieja, about 12 years old.
