A Culin Wine from Valtuille de Abajo, produced by José Antonio García and Julia Peña García, is a red wine that reflects the potential of modern Bierzo. Classified as 'Village Wine', it comes from old vineyards, organically grown and spread across more than 80 small plots in Valtuille de Abajo. The vines grow in clay soils enriched with cobblestones and sand. The winemaking process is artisanal, with manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged on fine lees in stainless steel and matures in wood foudres. This varietal Mencía, with hints of Alicante Bouschet and Doña Blanca, offers a fresh profile, fruity and floral notes, balanced acidity, and a spicy finish. Ideal for pairing with charcuterie, cheeses, and meats. Serve between 12ºC and 14ºC in Burgundy glasses.
