A Torna Dos Pasas is an exceptional red wine from the D.O. Ribeiro, created by winemaker Luis Anxo Rodríguez at his small family winery in Arnoia. Founded in 1988, the winery spans 2.7 hectares of vineyard spread over 29 plots, where native varieties, many of which are endangered, are cultivated. This wine is made from the varieties Brancellao, Caíño, and Ferrol, chosen for their adaptability and quality in the Ribeiro terroir. The production includes a careful manual harvesting process, followed by destemming and cold maceration, which helps preserve the freshness of the fruit. The fermentation takes place with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, while the wine is aged for six months in used oak barrels, adding subtlety to its profile. A Torna Dos Pasas is presented as a fresh, delicate, and seductive wine, with a very complex nose and palate, balancing notes of fresh red fruit, balsamic touches, and a subtle mineral background that invites tasting on various occasions.
