Alaya Tierra 2023 is a red wine that comes from the prestigious Almansa designation of origin, located in the Castilla la Mancha region. This wine is the result of a meticulous production process by Bodegas Atalaya. The main grape used is Garnacha Tintorera, which grows in vineyards situated at approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. Here, the soils are predominantly limestone and sandy, which favor good drainage and contribute to improving the quality of the grapes, although at a very low yield. The clusters are small and highly concentrated, resulting in a wine of great intensity. Alaya Tierra has undergone 15 months of aging in barrels of both French and American oak, achieving a perfect balance between fruity notes and the characteristics of the wood. In appearance, it has an attractive intense cherry color, with a high layer and vivid red tones. Its nose offers a complex and appealing aromatic blend, where mineral notes intertwine with very ripe red and black fruits, complemented by pleasant nuances of new wood.
