Amador Medrano Graciano is a red wine made from 100% Graciano grapes, sourced from the Valdegamarra vineyard located at 620 meters altitude in the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria. This vineyard has been planted with the highest density allowed by the Regulatory Council, promoting competition among the vines, resulting in limited production but superior quality. Harvesting is done manually, and after careful vinification in wooden vats, the wine undergoes aging of just over six months in French oak barrels. This process imparts a fresh and silky character, with only 13.5% alcohol and a fruity profile that reflects the essence of the Graciano variety and the quality of the terroir. Bodegas Medrano Irazu, located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, produces this wine under the name Amador Medrano, a line that represents the second generation of the family in charge of the winery. This wine stands out for its exceptional quality thanks to the unique conditions of its vineyards, situated at higher altitudes than normal in the D.O.C. Rioja.
