This wine is one of the winery's most produced references and stands out for its meticulous production process. It uses destemmed Mencía grapes that are fermented after a short cold pre-maceration, enhancing its organoleptic characteristics. In the tasting of Algueira Mencia, a cherry red color with a medium body is appreciated, presenting itself as a clear and bright wine. On the nose, typical reductive notes of the variety are initially perceived, but quickly give way to an explosion of red fruits and blackberries, with a milky touch reminiscent of lollipops, along with pronounced mineral notes.
