Alta Alella Orbus 2020 is a dry ecological red wine made from Syrah grapes, cultivated sustainably at the Alta Alella winery. Production begins with a manual harvest, carefully selecting the best grapes. After this process, the grapes are destemmed and selected grain by grain to ensure only those in optimal condition are kept. This wine ferments in stainless steel tanks, with maceration extending for 30 days using the submerged cap technique to avoid oxidation. During this period, two rackings are performed to maximize aroma and flavor extraction. The wine is lightly pressed and placed in first- and second-year French oak barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation. After 14 months of aging, it is bottled and undergoes an additional year of bottle aging before hitting the market. This careful production results in a wine with a cherry color and violet reflections, displaying aromas of violets, ripe fruit, and spices on the nose, harmonized with vanilla and toasty notes from barrel aging. On the palate, it is flavorful, voluminous, and well-structured, with noble tannins and a long finish that invites further enjoyment. The perfect combination of its characteristics makes it an ideal wine to pair with diverse dishes or enjoy solo.
