Botón de Gallo Barrica is a refined white wine produced in the renowned D.O. Rueda by the Dominio del Blanco winery. It is made from the Verdejo variety, carefully selected from the Valdechimoza and Camino del Puerto plots, which offer gravel-clay and clay-sandy soils respectively. The wine is 95% young Verdejo, with 5% fermented in 500-liter barrels. Its production includes a 19-day fermentation, followed by aging on its lees to develop its unique character. On the nose, it is clean and straightforward, with aromas of apricot, fennel, and anise. On the palate, it is velvety, with a robust structure and a long fruity aftertaste. Its bright lemon-yellow color and vegetal and hay reminders emphasize its origin in the region along the Douro River.
