El Secreto 2 RS is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Entrecanales Domecq e hijos. An international Ribera in which freshness and fruit are paramount. A contemporary, elegant wine, whose flexibility allows it to reflect all the expressiveness of each vintage. A wine with lots of colour, aroma and just the right touch of wood to allow the personality of Ribera's emblematic variety to come through clearly, with all its strength. A wine that pleases, that convinces, that can be enjoyed... and, like a good secret, shared.
After rigorous monitoring of the ripening process, the grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kg crates. Fruit selection by hand on a sorting table. Destemming and gentle pressing of the grapes. Four days of cold maceration before fermentation. Fermentation in concrete eggs due to the small quantity.
El Secreto 2 RS is aged and bottled on the property. Aged in 500l. French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine spends 18 months in bottle.
El Secreto 2 has an intense red colour.
It is a perfumed wine with notes of black and red fruits, combined with balsamic touches, light spices and violet flowers.
In the mouth it is round, juicy and fresh. Long and mineral finish. Perfect balance in which elegance prevails.
