Falcoeira Branco is an exceptional white wine made by Telmo Rodríguez in D.O. Valdeorras. It uses Godello, Doña Blanca, and Palomino grapes, all cultivated in the prestigious Falcoeira vineyard located in Santa Cruz. This vineyard, recognized as one of the best in the region, is situated between 400 and 600 meters above sea level on southwest-facing terraces. The harvest is done manually using small crates. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts in various sizes of French oak barrels. The wine does not go through malolactic fermentation and ages for ten months in the same barrels, without clarification or filtration. Production is limited to only 951 bottles per year. On the nose, the wine offers a complex bouquet with a pronounced saline note on the palate, evoking elegance and distinctive minerality, similar to that of a Meursault.
