Godelia Selección Godello is a white wine that encapsulates the essence of the Godello grape, native to the Denomination of Origin Bierzo. The grapes come from vineyards over 80 years old, planted in slate and quartzite soils, adding great complexity to the wine. After careful hand selection, the must is fermented and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels, acacia, and concrete eggs. This mixed aging method on fine lees grants the wine an unparalleled texture and exceptional aromatic richness without overshadowing its fruity essence. In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, you can perceive aromas of white peach, pear, citrus, and a mineral touch. On the palate, it stands out for its creaminess, vibrant acidity, and a long finish with notes of salted almond. Rated 94 points by Tim Atkin MW, it offers excellent aging potential until 2029. This wine is perfect for pairing with fatty fish, baked seafood, white meats with creamy sauces, and cured cheeses. To fully enjoy its potential, it is recommended to serve it between 10-12ºC in a Burgundy glass, decanting it beforehand for 30 minutes.
