La Gabacha is a magnificent white wine crafted by Casa Rojo, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc hailing from the Rueda Denomination of Origin. The 2024 vintage has been rated as excellent due to favorable climatic conditions, including increased rainfall and intense heat in August. The wine comes from a 10-hectare organic vineyard planted in 1985 at an altitude of 800 meters in the Duero basin. The fermentation takes place at low temperatures, preserving the varietal's aromas. Subsequently, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 5 months. On tasting, La Gabacha presents a pale yellow color with greenish tints and golden edges, clean and transparent. Aromatically, it offers intense notes of stone fruits like apricot and peach, along with light citrus hints and herbaceous details characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, it is dry with good acidity for freshness, making it ideal as an aperitif or with seafood.
