Leirana Areas de Arra 2018 is an elegant white wine made from carefully cultivated Albariño grapes in the D.O. Rías Baixas. The Bodega Forjas de Salnés, known for its dedication to high-quality winemaking, has done an excellent job in producing this wine that reflects the uniqueness of the region's terroir. The grapes are grown less than 100 meters from the sea in sandy soil, providing excellent drainage and a favorable environment for vine growth. Notably, 15% of the vines were replanted 20 years ago, showcasing the winery's commitment to quality and continuity in its production. The winemaking process includes careful destemming and a three-hour maceration of the must in press, allowing for the extraction of aromas and flavors. The aromatic must is then transferred to a new 1500-liter barrel from François Frères, where spontaneous fermentation occurs, adding complexity and depth to the wine.
