MAURO VS is a red wine of the Castilla y León V.T. elaborated by Bodegas Mauro. It is a wine of Guarda, with enormous concentration, complexity and elegance. It comes from a selection of vines from two vineyards.
It was bottled in September 2016 after a 30 month ageing in French and American oak casks.
Atlantic year marked by a late sprouting and a cold and rainy spring. The general delay in the ripening cycle caused the grape harvest to not begin until October 4. A demanding harvest in green and abundant water reserves in the vineyard have allowed to extract a fresh fruit and excellent natural acidity.
MAURO VS is penetrating and fragrant in the nose: red fruits, licorice, aromatic herbs. Corset of very tight tannins, energetic and Brioso, combines volume and delicacy. The parenting notes are passed to the background by the strength of a luminous fruit.
