It is an excellent red wine of the D.O. Toro elaborated with the variety of grape Tinta de Toro (100%).
Grapes from a single plot of more than 120 years old are collected by hand and are finally trodden on foot. Finally, this wine is aged for 18 months in French oak Bordeaux casks.
Numanthia has a dark red color, bright and deep, with Ruby iridescence.
On the nose is intense and complex, it offers several layers of aromas in a very lively nose: At first we distinguish extremely intense notes of red and black fruits (blackberries, currants, blueberries, almost...), perfectly integrated with sweet spices (cinnamon, Nutmeg, black pepper, vanilla...) and toasted notes.
In the mouth, Numanthia 2009 has an impressive backbone of perfectly educated, velvety and ripe tannins that lead us through a mouth with a large body combined with tons of a fruit of great vivacity. A very long and elegant finish, with an extremely wide range of aromas: fruits of the forest, cocoa, toasted notes and spices, enhances the complexity and the completely artisan character of this extraordinary wine.
