Legend has it that on a dark night, a dazzling beam of light, emitted by a celestial being, descended on the Oban distillery. This vibrant and dynamic entity touched the firmament, spreading a violet glow across the sky and bathing the distillery in its otherworldly light. The surroundings were dressed in hues of plum and blackberry, giving the Oban whiskeys an exceptional and distinctive sweetness. Occasionally, during autumn nights in Oban Bay, the dancing lights of the Northern Lights illuminate this charming seaside town and its eponymous distillery, established in 1794 and one of the oldest and smallest in Scotland. Despite its small size, its mythical and legendary essence has been celebrated throughout the centuries.

Matured in refill barrels and new American oak barrels, and subsequently refined in old Sherry and Amontillado barrels, this whiskey displays delicate aromas of sea salt and ocean breeze. Its creamy texture reveals sweet flavors of spiced plum cooked in wine, with a perfect balance of salinity and spices, ending with a spicy chili note.
